Cadillac unveils the 2014 ELR the sleek luxury coupe features the first application of Extended Range Electric Vehicle technology by a full-line luxury automotive brand.The ELR delivers on the promise of the Converj Concept on which it is based. The exterior establishes a new, progressive proportion for the brand while the interior introduces a new design theme that will define future Cadillac models, emphasizing modern elegance, technology and precisely crafted details.

Industry-leading Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology provides full driving range exceeding 300 miles (480 km), combining pure electric driving and an efficient, range-extending generator.The industry-leading, proven EREV technology is uniquely tuned for Cadillac in the ELR. Most daily commutes will require zero gasoline with zero emissions.The new Cadillac makes good use of the basic running gear from the Chevrolet Volt, including the 1.4-liter range-extending gas engine, a 15.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and an electric drive motor that offers 295 pound-feet of torque, and a total system output of 207 horsepower.

The ELR is powered by GM EREV technology, combining pure electric drive and an efficient, range-extending 1.4L gasoline-powered electric generator capable of 154 kW (207 hp) of total system power.The ELR's battery is a T-shaped, 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, located along the center line of the vehicle, between the front and rear wheels for optimal weight distribution. The 5.5-foot-long (1.6 m), 435-pound (198 kg) pack supplies energy to an advanced electric drive unit capable of 295 lb.-ft. of instant torque (400 Nm) to propel the vehicle.Using only the energy stored in the battery, the ELR will deliver a GM-estimated range of about 35 miles (56 km) of pure electric driving, depending on terrain, driving techniques and temperature.Charging the ELR's battery can be done with a 120V electrical outlet or a dedicated 240V charging station. The vehicle can be completely recharged in about 4.5 hours using a 240V outlet, depending on the outside temperature.

2014 Lexus IS Sport Sedan

Lexus all-new 2014 IS sedan will be available in rear- and all-weather drive versions of the IS 250 and IS 350, IS 300h, the first IS to feature Lexus Hybrid Drive.Driving performance is a key selling point in the sport sedan segment. In conjunction with a bold new design including the Lexus spindle grille, the all-new IS has been painstakingly engineered to have excellent dynamic capabilities to provide an exceptional driving experience.Every aspect of the IS has been engineered with a renewed focus on engaging performance, agile handling, accurate response to driver input and highly communicative feedback.Incorporating several Lexus-first features and technical innovations, the IS showcases an interior design with all the refinement and quality expected of a Lexus, plus a focused driver's environment, a significant improvement in rear seat comfort and spaciousness, and a larger, more convenient trunk.

Rear- and all-weather drive versions of the IS 250 are powered by a 2.5 liter V6 gas engine. The IS 350 features a 3.5 liter V6 gas engine.IS adopts the Drive Mode Select system which offers up to four switchable driving modes- ECO, NORMAL, SPORT and SPORT S+ (S+ available on IS 350 only) - to optimize vehicle systems to suit the driver's preferred combination of fuel economy, comfort, performance and handling characteristics.The IS 350 RWD features the eight-speed, Sport Direct Shift (SPDS) automatic transmission from the IS F high performance sedan with quicker shifts, full torque converter lockup and throttle blips in manual mode. The new IS is the first Lexus model to adopt G force Artificial Intelligence (G-AI) control in Sport mode. This system automatically selects the optimal gear and downshift pattern in response to G force, and maintains the selected gear through a corner.

The overall dynamic shape of the body emphasizes the wide flare of the wheel arches to give the new IS a broad, powerful stance.In profile, the strong horizontal belt line shows off the large rear tires and its low center of gravity. The exterior design includes a new, powerfully articulated headlamp cluster design with Lexus' trademark,L-shaped Daytime Running Lights (DRL) located independently below.The clean, horizontal theme of the interior is bisected by the strong upward sweep of the center console, creating an ergonomically ideal environment. The newly designed driver's seat offers greater comfort and better lateral support.All IS models are equipped with the next generation, Lexus Display Audio or Remote Touch-controlled Navigation multimedia systems.he 2014 IS has 10 airbags standard, including rear seat side airbags. Available safety and security features include an Automatic High Beam (AHB) headlamp system, a Lane Departure Alert (LDA) system, a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and a Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) system.The AHB headlamp system maximizes visibility at night by automatically switching to low beams when its camera detects the lights of either an oncoming or preceding vehicle.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray


Chevrolet is redefining modern performance with debut of the all-new Corvette Stingray. And only a Corvette with the perfect balance of technology, design and performance can wear the iconic Stingray designation. The 2014 Corvette Stingray is the most powerful standard model ever, with an estimated 450 horsepower (335 kW) and 450 lb.-ft. of torque (610 Nm). It is also the most capable standard model ever, able to accelerate from 0-60 in less than four seconds and achieve more than 1g in cornering grip. It is expected to be the most fuel-efficient Corvette, exceeding the EPA-estimated 26 mpg of the current model.

The all-new Corvette Stingray shares only two parts with the previous generation Corvette. It incorporates an all-new frame structure and chassis, a new powertrain and supporting technologies, as well as completely new exterior and interior designs. Highlights include:

The new A-Class signals dynamism when you first catch sight of it with an emotive exterior with a very sporty personality.Three design lines (Style, Urban and AMG Sport) and a variety of further options make it as individual as its driver. For the first time, performance specialists from AMG were involved at an early stage in the development of the compact model. The result is the most dynamic version of the model series – the A-Class Sport engineered by AMG. Honda Brio Amaze

Based upon the original Brio model, the Brio Amaze represents a major milestone resulting from a collaborative effort by Japanese and Thai engineers at the Asia Pacific Honda Research & Development Center, Thailand.The design of the new Brio Amaze is based on the Smart Micro Limousine concept. It is also influenced by Honda’s Man Maximum Machine Minimum approach that puts the highest importance on the driver and passengers. The exterior styling is sleek with distinctive character lines from front to rear, enhanced by a sporty chrome grille and bumpers in the same color as the body. The newly-designed tail lamps are complemented by chrome accents for a sleeker look.

The spacious interior of the all-new Brio Amaze provides a large rear luggage storage compartment ready for any journey. Powered by a 1.2 liter, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, 90-horsepower SOHC i-VTEC engine, the new Brio Amaze offers fun driving and unrivalled fuel economy with fuel consumption of 20 kilometers per liter. It is a genuine eco sedan that is friendly to the environment in accordance with the Euro 4 standard.

A rack & pinion and electric power steering (EPS) system gives the new Brio Amaze great maneuverability with a small turning radius of only 4.6 meters. Comprehensive safety features include a G-CON steel safety body structure; Anti-lock Braking System (ABS); Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD); and an intelligent i-SRS for the driver and a SRS airbag system for the passenger that confirms to UNECE standards to provide protection from side and front impact (in all variants).
