Mercedes-Benz A Class 180 CDI

The new A-Class signals dynamism when you first catch sight of it with an emotive exterior with a very sporty personality.Three design lines (Style, Urban and AMG Sport) and a variety of further options make it as individual as its driver. For the first time, performance specialists from AMG were involved at an early stage in the development of the compact model. The result is the most dynamic version of the model series – the A-Class Sport engineered by AMG. Its outstanding features include a front axle developed by AMG with specially tuned matching suspension. Its sporty appearance is further accentuated by a new diamond grille, exclusive AMG 18-inch alloy wheels in a five-spoke design, and red highlighting features on the AMG front and rear aprons, and also on the brake calipers.

The new A-Class impresses thanks to its uniquely high quality standards for the compact segment, achieved through the design idiom, the selection of top-quality materials and the options for combining them. Attractive visual highlights include, for example, the air nozzles, which call to mind the form of jet engines and underscore the high quality of the interior. The vehicle’s sporty character can be further accentuated with sports seats with integrated head restraints as optional extras, and the rear bench seat arrangement, which offers room for three passengers, but retains the sporty look of two individual seats.Innovative multimedia systems offer a digital lifestyle in the A-Class. On request, smartphones can be fully integrated into the operating and display system. The freestanding CENTRAL MEDIA DISPLAY with a screen size of up to 17.8 centimeters presents audio functions, maps, web pages and apps in a logical, modern design.

Its performance lives up to the promise made by its exterior. The engines in the new A-Class, which develop up to 155 kW (211 HP), offer a combination of power and top efficiency. This can be enhanced even further on request – with a driving dynamics package featuring a direct-steer system, or the 7G-DCT dual clutch transmission, which responds automatically when a gear change is required.Standard systems, such as the ATTENTION ASSIST and the COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST, help ensure the optimum level of safety. With such features, the new A-Class sets new standards in the compact car segment.
