Aston Martin has redesigned and re-engineered its V12 Vantage to appeal to a broader range of buyers and called the new car V12 Vantage S. The Vantage S is the fastest regular production car in the company history and the car maker claims it offers more performance and excitement. The changes in the car includes a bold new carbon fiber grille marries design and engineering to improve airflow whilst defining a more aggressive front profile.New roof and rear graphics packs.Lightweight forged alloy wheels. All new interior finishes on seats, doors and controls. An updated 565 bhp V12 motor and a seven-speed automated manual gearbox that replaces the previous six-speed one.

Aston Martin claims the Vantage S is also more usable with three driving modes - Normal, Sport and Track. The mode selected changes the firmness of the dampers, throttle response, gearshift timing, exhaust note and steering assistance. The new car uses Aston Martin's fifth-gen 5.9-litre V12 engine that adds 55bhp on the Vantage and matches the output of the Vanquish. The seven-speed automated manual transmission has been taken from the V8 Vantage and is controlled by paddle shifters. It's also claimed to be 15 kg lighter than the old six-speed and better able to exploit the engine.
