Mahindra has named its yet to be launched compact SUV vehicle as Mahindra XUV300. It is based on the Ssangyong Tivoli model. It's positioned XUV300 in between its already successfully running bread of XUV500 and TUV300.
The XUV300 carries forward the characteristics of the XUV500 with its cheetah-inspired design, cheetah like agility, thrilling performance and advanced technology features. The XUV300's headlamps integrate with the fog lamps forming a Cheetah-like tear-duct, while the wheel arches are inspired from the muscular haunches of Cheetah. Its modern grille, sculpted bonnet, shoulder and body lines along with an elevated stance gives the XUV300 a bold and charismatic road presence. In addition, its dual LED DRL's and bold LED tail lamps, create an indelible visual signature.
The XUV300's head turning design, fun to drive performance and first in class hi-tech cabin features, best in class safety and class defining interiors make it an exciting and comprehensive package that will find a strong connect and appeal among consumers.
Under the hood, XUV300 will be offered with both petrol and diesel drive train options. XUV300 is expected to come with a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine from the Marazzo which produces 121bhp/300Nm to be joined by a 1.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
Mahindra has announced that expected date of the launch XUV300 is around February 2019.
